Thanksgiving Cruise

This year for Thanksgiving , we decided to do something completely different - spend the week on a cruise!!!! We hopped on the Serenade of the Seas, a Royal Caribbean ship, and set sail for Cozumel, Mexico. We had so much fun, we are ready to do it all again!!!!

This was a five night cruise leaving from Tampa. We had a day in the post of Cozumel. We were supposed to port in Casa de Maya but due to a medical emergency with a guest on the ship we missed that port - but had another day at sea! Cruises are a great vacation for families with teenagers. The teens get some freedom to roam about and the parents get some free time to relax. Our girls slept til noon each day and then spent time laying by the pool, playing putt putt, visiting the arcade, relaxing in the hot tub, and watching movies. Our evenings were spent enjoying a nice family dinner in the main dining room. It's fun to get all dressed up and take some fun pics. We enjoyed the no distractions of these dinners - even the teens enjoyed it too.

We also spent time playing games (and some people made another trip to the late night buffet) The two games we played on this cruise were Codenames and Azul

I think we all agree that his cruise was good for the family!
