Ketchikan, Alaska Port

We were very fortunate this day, because it was 65 and sunny! All the locals told us they hadn't seen the sun in over a week!! We stated our day with a excursions that we booked through Royal Caribbean. It was a Wildlife Water Tour. We set out with a group of 25 other people to view the beautiful shoreline of Ketchikan. Along the way we saw some eagles and even a whale! Our tour guide told us a lot about the history of the city too.

After our tour, we explored on our own. We followed signs and walked to Creek Street. There is a lot of history here. you can book walking tours of the area if that's something that interests you. We enjoyed walking around reading about each of the buildings. It's also a great place to pick up some souvenirs. Ketchikan had the best shopping out of all our ports. We also followed the signs for the Salmon Trail. We weren't there during the right season to see the salmon, but it was still a nice walk.

After shopping, we found two great places to eat Fat Stan's had some great pizza and the Alaska Fish House - the pacific cod was delicious
